Darby Stanchfield, Emily Bett Rickards, and Meaghan Rath have been cast in “Slumber,” a psychological sci-fi thriller from Diablo Entertainment.

The story of a woman who must piece together her past and find her missing daughter after waking up from a coma is directed by Darrell Wheat (“Recovery”). It’s being billed as a hybrid of “Jacob’s Ladder” and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.”

Stanchfield is best know for playing White House spin master Abby Whelan on ABC’s “Scandal” and for her recurring role as the Drapers’ neighbor Helen Bishop on “Made Men.” Rickards is a fanboy favorite from her work as Felicity Smoak on the CW show “Arrow,” where she plays the title character’s love interest and ally. Rath has starred in Syfy’s “Being Human” and is currently in Fox’s “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life.”

Chris Mulkey (“Whiplash”), Richard Harmon (“The 100”), Isaiah Mustafa (“Shadowhunters”) and Lulu Wilson (“Ouija 2”) round out the cast. Diablo’s Eric B. Fleischman and Sean Tabibian are producing and financing the feature which is set to begin production this summer in Los Angeles. The company made a stir at Sundance this year, fielding the magician thriller “Sleight,” which sold to WWE Studios and Blumhouse Productions.

Stanchfield is represented by Principal Entertainment LA, Rickards is represented by Lucas Talent and Alchemy Entertainment, and Rath is represented by The Kohner Agency and Hess Entertainment.
